Having taken the time to try and find as much as I can of the various podcasts and video content that people are making out there for Exalted I figured I'd start a thread for discussing any that don't have their own dedicated threads.

The media section has links to what I was able to find here, and would really really encourage people to check it out.

I'm still trying to get through a lot of it, I didn't realise how much was actually there, but I've had the chance to game with Monica from Exaltcast a bunch in the past and could listen to her talking about the game basically non-stop. I also am really glad I stumbled across Ekkoren's stuff since no-one else seems to be doing the sort of youtube content he is right now for Exalted and I'm a fan of those sorts of videos.

Am I missing anything? Are there any episodes or podcasts in particular people think others should be watching/listening to

I made my own stuff on youtube, Stumbled a bit on the last video, then kinda fell off due to other stuff. Wonder if I should get back into it again.

I think it's always nice to have much stuff out there. It's certainly not a bad thing to see more being made for the line even if people disagree with opinions, its still a source of visibility and discussion.

Ekkoren has a new video up just now. Great topic, I think it's really cool to have people touch on things like this. I've certainly noticed that my own groups fall in to certain habits on stunting and it's nice to take the time to think about good practice. And I enjoy how it's not a set of hard and fast rules he's giving

Frst post!

Firstly, the "Forum Thread" links in each of the media items does not go anywhere except the front page.
Secondly, it took me ages to find the page as it's only link is on the right and isn't called "media" which is what your info bar at the top alludes to it being called!
Thirdly, I'm glad you have The Immaculate Chaos on there as I love those guys. Can you put my wiki page into the links for it: http://bit.ly/ICContained

Thanks, Sam / Bifford

The forum thread buttons are things I'll link into as people create threads for them, I'll probably link them in to here in the meantime for anywhere without a dedicated thread. I'll sort out the visibility on that notification too.

And yeah, more than happy to make sure stuff like that is linked in where people want it to be, Nagi was really cool when I reached out to him for permission to include his stuff

I'm glad you like it. It's Ekorren, though. Not Ekkoren. :)

Hah, sorry, let me double check to make sure I've not misspelled that anywhere else

Edit: I had, several times in fact, that was really bad, sorry. It should be fixed in the important places. Give me a slap me if I do it again

Just to highlight that the Wondrous Atlas of Creation's Destiny is a podcast that is in the works at the moment, by myself and Raelz. It's a podcast that will have releases into 2 parts - one covering a specific aspect of Exalted lore, and another expanding on the story hooks for that particular thing. As the name implies, these will mostly be locations, but we're starting off with a trio of episodes on some types of Exalted in general. Once that's done, it'll be done in blocks/seasons, with (for example) the Blessed Isle series/block/arc having an episode on the Realm, the Great Houses, and then on the Imperial City, Arjulf, Chanos and potentially Lord's Crossing and others from previous editions. The other Directions will get the same treatment.

We'll be pulling material from all editions of Exalted, and end each of the "hooks" episode discussing a story that we've each developed into a story for STs to use/adapt as they will. We may need to revisit stuff as other stuff as it comes out. I'm betting we will almost need an "errata" season once Across the Eight Directions lands, for example. We've also recorded a Lunars episode, and Many-Faced Strangers isn't available yet.

Still wrangling some licensing issues and getting things recorded and processed, but I'm hoping we will be launching within the next few weeks.

Ex3 Reference Materials - currently includes an ST screen, common actions sheet, weapons reference sheet, character creation summary and mortal QCs reference sheet.

I've not had a chance to watch the last two yet but I really enjoyed the Lunar one. That sort of video is the sort of thing I'd really really love to see more of from the fanbase. I think a majority people will say that the setting and lore is what brings them to exalted or keeps them coming back, so it really deserves to have videos like this one the way something like 40k does. Hopefully once 8 Directions is out there's going to be fertile ground to cover with this sort of thing.

I know you've done a few history type lore videos in the past but have you considered trying to do a 20 minute or so one that is an introductory lore primer for newbies. Something that can be thrown at the curious to give them an overview?

I could certainly add that to the list.

The Wondrous Atlas of Creation's Destiny podcast is now live!

Each release, we're looking at a concept, character or (most often) a place within the Exalted setting, split into two. The first is an examination of the lore of that thing, and the second is how to use that thing in your games, finishing with 2 fleshed out story ideas discussed and (eventually) made available with full stats and mechanics on the show's website.

Ok, I love the idea for this one. As I implied to Ekkoren I've always felt that the big strength of Exalted is the lore and setting and that I wish that there was more out there that was bite sized and digestible for showing to people unfamiliar to the game to convey it. This definitely just got jumped right up on my list of things to listen to.

Your production values are pretty good too which always really helps. Didn't realise you were a fellow Brit til I heard your accent either!

Well, you say "bite size"... So far each of the lore segments are over an hour in length, so maybe not as concise as they might be, although we do try to define names in simple terms.

One thing we didn't do in the first episode was give an overview of Creation itself; that's actually in the second episode...

It'll also be about episode 5 before we get into the full "atlas" thing - 3 episodes on Exalt types, and then an overview of the Realm before we get to specific locations.
