Were you one of the unlucky people who were forced to take the Hunting Hawk powerbow in the 3e core because it was one of your only options for archery? Where you tired of those evocations and the whimpy capstone that only summoned a mundane hawk? Do you wish for something with a little more excitement in your powerbows?

Sandact here, and I've got news for you: introducing the new and improved Hunting Hawk powerbow! Using patented "Birb boss" sorcery, your feathered friend can soar across the battlefield like never before! Watch in amazement as he becomes your spotter from miles in the air, or laugh as it takes a giant flaming shit all over your opponents, all while you soar across the battlefield in style!

Your stuff is always so detailed and you write so much that it's hard to get through it all, but I absolutely agree with your core premise.

the Corebook definitely felt like it didn't have much respect for ranged weapons or armor, Evocations wise. Even though I know you redid Volcano Cutter as well, the difference between it and Black Wind and Dauntless just feels crazy when you look at them in the core book.

Yea the core artifacts were done dirty, it's part of the reason I'm redoing some of them. Hunting Hawk in particular was bad as it felt the options for ranged weapons was limited (This is hardly a new thing. The unofficial 1e wiki and the 2e wiki you could have pages upon pages of close combat weapons. Ranged weapons felt as if it were a fraction of that).
